2013 Mercedes-Benz Swim Week

DAY 1 – 7/19

Swim Week has officially arrived! I was so anxious at work today just thinking about going to the very first kickoff event at The Raleigh for Lisa Blue Swim. Celebs such as: Brooke Burke, David Charvet & Christina Milian were in attendance (see pic #4). Plus, Karina Smirnoff paraded down the catwalk wearing Flamenco attire. Guests were also treated to a very special Chinese dragon show. Overall the fashion show was very entertaining and a great way to jump start the fashion fun.

Fashion Bloggers Do it Better (Summer Edition) #FBDIB2 recap

On Thursday, June 26^th, I was invited to be a part of the “Fashion Blogger’s Do it Better (Summer Edition)” event. I was thrilled and flattered but never nervous for some reason. I was a bystander at the first bash back in March, but this time I was one of the 15 fashion bloggers that got to walk the runway. I wore two Sweet, Savvy looks from Shop Guy and Girl and Furor. My hair was hurting from the high bun that Cutler Salon created, but it came out fabulous! Of course, my outfits wouldn’t be complete without makeup, my red lips and long lashes were courtesy of the Beauty for Real team.

The energy before and then, after the show was amazing. It was a great feeling to be surrounded by fellow fashionista’s who are obsessed with fashion as much as me. I feel like this is the network that I need to be in and Annie Vazquez, Simonett Pereira and Eugy Alliegro have done a great job thus far expanding the fashion network in the Miami community. Huge kudos to you girls for putting on a fabulous event!

Today I was in front of the cameras for once, and part of a fantastic Spring fashion segment on NBC6 Live Miami. The segment was hosted by Annie Vazquez aka The Fashion Poet . I was one of the 4 models today, along with fellow Fashion blogger Vanessa Ferrer of The Very Thought of You. Annie chose my Menswear inspired outfit from Forever 21 and I adore it! The colors look AMAZING together and the hat makes the look tres chic. Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think. Zara PEOPLE! website contest

I stumbled upon Zara’s website today and was pleasantly surprised at the PEOPLE! website contest that the store has started. This is perfect for Street Style Fashionistas that are fans of the store. The instructions are simple. You have to create a look with at least 2 items from Zara’s Spring Summer 2012 collection. Then you must sign up for PEOPLE! and upload photos of your creations from your user account.
